November 11, 2023, Samarkand. Air Marakanda received and serviced the second flight of the Air Samarkand air carrier based at Samarkand International Airport.

On November 11, at 4:07 a.m. local time, the second aircraft in the fleet of the new Air Samarkand airline, Airbus A321, landed at the airfield of Samarkand International Airport. The second aircraft will expand the airline's ability to transport passengers along the planned route network.

The aircraft was traditionally greeted with a water arch.

The Airbus A321 is one of the most popular aircraft in the most massive segment of passenger transportation. To date, about three thousand such machines have been produced, which successfully perform flights in all parts of the world. In total, the number of aircraft produced based on the basic Airbus A320 model exceeds 11 thousand units.

The newly arrived aircraft is a modern medium—haul airliner manufactured in France. It is designed to carry 182 passengers in economy class and 12 in business class on routes with a range of up to 6,000 km. The seat installation step in economy class is at least 31 inches (78.7 cm), which allows even tall passengers to travel comfortably.

Air Samarkand's main goal is to provide residents of Samarkand and neighboring regions with convenient travel opportunities by direct flights to popular destinations, and in the future — connecting the West and the East by air routes through Samarkand International Airport.

A week earlier, Air Samarkand received its first aircraft, the Airbus A330 long-haul airliner. In total, the company plans to receive and put into operation up to 5 aircraft by the end of 2023.
