November 3, 2023, Samarkand. Air Marakanda took part in the Tashkent International Aviation Forum "Aviation and Logistics 2023" within the framework of the first SCO Transport Forum in Tashkent.

On November 2, 2023, Deputy General Director for IT at Air Marakanda Bakhtiyor Khudaiberdiyev made a presentation on the first successfully implemented public-private partnership project between Air Marakanda and Uzbekistan Airports in the history of Uzbek aviation, and also spoke about the activities of a new terminal equipped with high-tech equipment and digital products that meet the requirements of international standards.

Following the presentation, as a result of cooperation with TAV Technologies, Anton Khojayan, CEO of Air Marakanda, was awarded the "Best Digitalization Project" award in recognition of outstanding leadership and commitment to the development of a strategic partnership that facilitates business cooperation with TAV Technologies. The award was presented by Aitan Mustalieva, Vice President of TAV Technologies for Europe, America and the CIS.

The technological solutions implemented by TAV Technologies at Samarkand International Airport ensure the complete digitalization of the airport's operations and the smooth operation of its infrastructure and equipment:

• Modern check-in counters and boarding gates;

• Telescopic ladders;

• Baggage handling system;

• Passport control booths;

•  Automatic border control system (e-gate) for departing passengers.

Also, together with TAV Technologies, the Mobile CUPPS pilot project was announced at the forum, the implementation of which will provide guests of the Samarkand hotel sector with a number of airport services: check-in, baggage check-in, flight information - all this can be done right in the lobby of their hotel.

The cooperation between Air Marakanda and TAV Technologies began in 2020. TAV Technologies is a subsidiary of TAV Airports Holding, part of the ASP Group.
