Phytosanitary Control

Phytosanitary control is carried out by State Plant Quarantine Inspectors at border crossing points to inspect goods, regulated quarantine products, and plants imported into or transported (including in transit) across the customs border of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

If quarantine pests or other quarantine-regulated harmful organisms are detected, the Plant Quarantine authorities are authorized to detain, seize, or, where necessary, return the regulated products in accordance with the applicable legislation.
