AIR MARAKANDA announces the launch of an open request for proposals for commercial retail spaces located in the public area of Samarkand International Airport.
Samarkand International Airport is one of Uzbekistan’s key transportation hubs and is steadily developing as a modern aviation and tourism center.
The placement of commercial and service facilities within the airport terminal offers high visibility, a stable flow of passengers, and direct access to a solvent target audience, including tourists, business travelers, and transit passengers. The public area of the terminal is characterized by extended passenger dwell time, creating favorable conditions for impulse purchases and service-oriented sales.

Lot No. 1

Format: A separate enclosed space within the public area of the terminal
The introduction of a capsule accommodation facility responds to passengers’ current needs for short-term rest, sleep, and recovery while waiting for their flights, and enhances the overall service appeal of the airport.

AIR MARAKANDA is the operator responsible for ground handling and management of the new terminal at Samarkand International Airport under Uzbekistan’s first aviation project implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership. For three consecutive years, the new international terminal of Samarkand Airport has been ranked among the top ten regional airports in Central Asia according to the World Airport Awards (SKYTRAX).
Based on the results of 2024, Samarkand International Airport ranked second in passenger traffic growth rate within its category according to ACI EUROPE.
