In this regard, 2025 was declared the "Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy" by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Samarkand International Airport, operated by Air Marakanda, has successfully confirmed its compliance with high international standards in the areas of quality, ecology, and safety by obtaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certificates. 

The main standards integrated into the IMS: 

  • ISO 9001 establishes a quality management system that ensures smooth processes and a high level of service for passengers and airport partners. 

  • ISO 14001 confirms the implementation of an environmentally responsible approach aimed at reducing environmental impact and rational use of resources. 

  • ISO 45001 reflects attention to occupational health and safety issues, which reduces production risks and creates safe conditions for employees.

An integrated management system based on international ISO standards has made it possible to combine quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements into a single comprehensive management system. This approach eliminates duplication of processes, optimizes the use of resources, and makes the activities of the company managing Samarkand Airport more efficient and transparent.
