May 19, 2025, Samarkand. The fourth official Air Marakanda Air Spotting organized by Air Marakanda took place at the Samarkand International Airport airfield. The event united aviation photographers and enthusiasts with a passion for capturing aircraft and airport life from the inside.
The shoot started at 3:30am and concluded by 11:00am, covering key moments of the airport's morning activity. Participants captured aircraft takeoffs, landings, taxiing and ground handling as they moved around predetermined points on the airfield.
Thanks to favorable weather conditions, spotters were also able to capture the sunrise, which provided a natural backdrop for the dynamic shots of the aircraft. The shooting process took place in a continuous rhythm, allowing the participants to observe the airport in its working flow - from the first morning flights to the preparation for the afternoon traffic.
Traditionally, a small snack was organized for the participants to maintain comfort and concentration during the long shoot.
Airspotting at Samarkand International Airport is becoming a good tradition that opens the backstage of civil aviation and forms a community of enthusiastic people united by their love for the sky.
