July 30,2024 Samarkand. As part of the cooperation between Air Marakanda and the base carrier Air Samarkand, a regular flights from Samarkand International Airport to Jeddah have been launched.

Air Samarkand made its first passenger flight between Samarkand and Jeddah on an A321neo aircraft. This flight opened a new stage in the airline's operations.

The airplane left Samarkand at 12 a.m. and arrived in Jeddah at 3:10 a.m. local time, carrying 188 of the first passengers to the city where pilgrims traveling to the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina traditionally gather. Two hours after arrival, the plane departed on its return flight to Samarkand. Another flight was scheduled for the same day, departing Samarkand at 3 PM and arriving in Jeddah at 6:20 PM local time. Thereafter, the airline will operate two flights every Tuesday.

It is worth noting that Air Samarkand has planned flights not only to Jeddah, but also to Medina - they will start operating from Samarkand in August 2024 on Airbus A330 aircraft. The flights are operated in partnership with EasyBooking.

Air Samarkand continues its successful development and systematically expands its route network. In addition to new flights to Saudi Arabia, the airline operates direct flights to Istanbul, Sharm El Sheikh and Nha Trang using Airbus A321neo and A330-300 aircraft.
