May 21, 2024, Samarkand. Air Marakanda, which operates Samarkand International Airport, is announcing the appointment of Shamsikulov Ulugbek Akhrorovich as Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Khojayan Anton Ashotovich, who is leaving the company to take up a new position within a government project.
Khodzhayan Anton Ashotovich, working in the position of General Director, made a significant contribution to the development and modernization of Samarkand International Airport, showing excellent leadership skills and strategic thinking. During this period, Samarkand Airport demonstrated significant growth in all indicators.
Shamsikulov Ulugbek Akhrorovich is a very experienced person with three decades of experience in the aviation industry. His professional path began as an engineer in the Development and Foreign Economic Relations Department of Samarkand Airport. After passing through a number of key positions, in 2012 he took the post of Director of Samarkand Airport where he worked until 2017.
During his years of work in aviation, Ulugbek Akhrorovich acquired extensive knowledge and invaluable experience, thanks to which, having returned to work as the head of the air harbor, he plans to bring the airport to a new level of development. Ulugbek Akhrorovich's strategic vision and deep understanding of the aviation industry will ensure further growth in performance and improvement in the quality of passenger service.
